The installation of Clare College Chapel organ by von Beckerath in March 1971 probably began the second phase of widescale organ replacement in Cambridge since 1955. The organ, totally encased and in the Werkprinzip style, was the first in the city to be built by an organ builder from outside the British Isles. |
