OXFORD TIMES (June 1999)
Their splendid sound of seven trumpets is reduced to three on this CD (though, well-recorded in St Barnabas' Church, it hardly sounds like it). This is a sumptuous survey of court music in the late 17th century and early 19th century England and France, headed by Handel and Purcell, Lully and Charpentier.
