THE ORGAN (Vol

"... this is a model for players of Bach. Fisher's clean articulation, steady rhythm and ingenious registration conceals skilfully the instrument's modest resources..." CHURCH MUSIC QUARTERLY (January 1999) "This CD is worth hearing, not only for the quality of the playing, but also for the instrument, which is sure to send many an organist green with envy at the thought of having such a thing of beauty in one's home" ORGANISTS' REVIEW (February 1999) "...Mr Fisher first of all selects a truly delicious programme which combines well-known Bach with little-known conjectural material, the guiding principle being that the music shows Bach at his melodic and expressive height.....Fisher transports the listener to an altogether higher plane....His playing demonstrates the artistic response of a refined and profoundly musical intellect....the great Fantasia & Fugue in G minor manages to sound grand and spacious even here on this miniature masterpiece by Peter Collins. This Bach concert is enjoyable at many levels, and as such is warmly recommended." |
